Michael V. Shaughnessy


Founder and Instructor

Michael has been writing and performing music since elementary school. He is passionate about sharing his musical skills and experiences. He graduated from Oral Roberts University School of Music in 1999 where he studied classical and jazz voice and piano. More recently, he graduated from Boston University with a masters in music education. Michael has performed, scored for film and TV, edited, produced and engineered many projects in a wide variety of genres. 

Satellite School of the Arts began as an idea in 1997 while Michael was a music student in undergraduate school. With the help of many teachers and board members it has taken shape. Satellite services students of all ages and continues to provide excellent instruction that inspires.
